Depending on what type of individual that you are will ultimately determine what exact type of weight loss formulation you should attempt. Being genetically and chemically different demands a different approach for most of us.

Fat burners, carb and calorie counters, appetite suppressant and hyper exercisers make up the mix of what type of approach works best for each individual. This is usually determined by what seemed to have worked best in the past.

When appetite control is the method of choice, caralluma fimbriata seems to be almost magical in it’s ability to suppress those food cravings. The properties contain in this new supplement appears to target the appetite control center within the brain.

Caralluma has recently under gone extensive clinical trials to not only determine which properties of the plant work and why but also to determine side effects, if any.

Most testing conducted was with a 500mg pill administered twice daily to a very tightly controlled test group ranging in age of approximately 30 to 75. No known sides effects were reported among this group. The results were very impressive.

During these tests it was also discovered that the glycosides, the natural weight loss element extracted from caralluma appeared to work extremely well as an appetite suppressant which even exceeded that of the well know Hoodia.

Caralluma is also less complex chemically than Hoodia as well which cuts down on production costs while providing a much safer product. Generally, Hoodia is mixed with other ingredients while Caralluma is not.

Appetite suppression is only one of many factors being discovered about Caralluma extract. Current test are also finding it to be effective in blood pressure control, diabetes and even in anti inflammatory evaluations.

If appetite suppression is your main goal in achieving the weight loss you desire you may want to investigate Caralluma a little more thoroughly and try the product yourself. You may be surprised at just how effective it can be for you.

Does Acne Go Against Mother Nature?

    August 1st, 2008
    by Barry Crewse

No doubt there has been countless articles and books written as to why the heck we have acne. They attempt to address questions such as where it comes from and how to make it go away. It all leads to treatment plans. Which really do work and which are only snake oil?

For the majority of people out there fighting their acne has only meant one thing and that has been some type of drug or another. For most of us that has been the only way of life in treating acne but is it possible to treat acne naturally and be successful?

Most researchers will tell you that due to the underlying causes of acne, most natural approaches to treatment have a very low success rate. My research indicates that this is not true at all.

There are many different factors that are associated with acne outbreaks and it must be stated that before changing any type of treatment plan that you should discuss your plans with a physician or dermatologist. The root cause should be determined before starting any type of treatment but there has been great progress in natural medicine to treat your acne.

Although there are a great number of natural alternatives to fighting acne it must also be understood that committing to a plan of action and following through is really the key to success.

Your plan of action is really no different than if you were taking prescription medication as even with doctor prescribed meds you still must follow direction and be persistant or you will not be successful in your fight.

Remember, there is no cure for acne. It can only be treated and controlled. So no matter which plan of action you decide upon you may be surprised at the amount of control you achieve by trying some of the most advanced natural products on the market.

Blocked pores, swelling, oily skin, pain and inflammation are classic examples of an acne outbreak. Many of the natural products on the market today can effective and safely treat these symptoms.

Your diet must also be taken into consideration. Although foods may not be the underlying cause of acne there may be many side effects which can actually make your acne worse. It seems to be that acne is most often caused by more than one issue.

Stress and environmental issues also play an important role on our bodies and how acne reacts to treatment. Learning the different ways to deal with these issues while in conjunction with an all natural treatment plan can produce dramatic results.

There have been many books and products sold over the most recent years making claims of all sorts on curing your acne forever in 5 minutes. The truth is as I stated earlier that acne cannot be cured. That is just the facts and no product whether chemical or natural can treat it effectively in 5 minutes or even 24 to 48 hours.

I have received many reports from different individuals stating that they are seeing rather significant results with 72 hours. It is important to be clear though that they are not acne free at this point but the result they are experiencing are dramatic. When followed as directed, the natural programs these folks are using are producing result with in a week or two that rival even the most power chemical treatments they had been prescribed before.

If you have been struggling with acne for any length of time and you are not seeing results with the medications you are currently taking, then I would urge you to investigate a more natural and holistic approach. I know many people reading this will pass it off and not possible. Let me tell you, you could not be more mistaken.

It is important to remember that no matter what treatment plan you have chosen to treat your acne, always make it a point to contact your physician when considering an alternative. Never ever discontinue any type of prescribed medication with the advise of your doctor. If a natural approach is something you would like to consider then the advice of your doctor can help you easily make the switch.

    Caralluma Fimbriata: The Next Hoodia?

    July 22nd, 2008
    by Barry Crewse

Caralluma Fimbriata. Say what? I can almost hear you now…”not another fad diet supplement!” Well, yes and no. First, lets get into just what the heck Caralluma is…and what it’s not.

Caralluma belongs to the cactus family and is known as a succulent. It grows wild in much of India and as far north as Afghanistan and the surrounding areas.

The locals in most regions of India have eaten Caralluma as a vegetable for hundreds of years if not longer. The green leafy parts of the plant are most usually and eaten with a little salt. It can be eaten cooked or raw. Among other things, it is also made into a variety of pickles and different chutney’s.

For generations the local people found this vegetable seemed to contain certain properties when eaten. Not only did it as an appetite and diet suppressant but also seemed to quench their thirst while boosting their energy levels. Because of this it became wildly popular as both a “hunting and famine food” sustaining the people when food stuffs became scarce.

Modern science has now caught up with Caralluma Fimbriata and this new succulent cactus is making a booming appearance in the diet and fitness world. Not only does it appear to have the ability to suppress the appetite and give your endurance a boost but it also looks promising in lowering blood sugar levels as well.

Researchers believe that Caralluma extracts act on the brains main hunger centers thereby reducing your feelings of being hungry. More importantly, research indicates this appetite suppression action takes place without any significant disturbances in the functions of your neurotransmitter functions unlike many of the best known appetite suppressants on the market today.

Recent studies also seem to indicate that one important extract, pregnane glycoside, appears to be effective in not only obesity, weight and diet disorders but also in the reductions of fat, BMI, reduction in hip and waste circumferences, blood glucose and blood pressure.

Other benefits include increase in lean body mass, enhancement in the ratio of blood HDL/LDL, improvement in capillary health, hearing, memory function, joint inflammation and others.

What Caralluma Fimbriata is not is that it is not artificial and is completely natural. There are no chemicals or preservatives needed with this supplement which can interfere with your body’s natural diet processes.

As far as any know toxicity or adverse reaction associated with the use of Caralluma, there have never been any recorded instance of either. In fact, there have been numerous studies done of late to determine the safety factor in human consumption. The main facts remain. This vegetable has been eaten by countless generations without any know consequence. Not sure there are any better studies than that.

Caralluma is just now coming onto center stage of the dieting world and I am sure you will be hearing much more about this future giant. Not only do I expect it to overtake Hoodia, which appears to be less effective and more expensive but also most other weight supplements which seems to be only minimally effective.

Acne Quick Cure: Fact Or Fiction?

    July 16th, 2008
    by Barry Crewse

No doubt there has been countless articles and books written as to why the heck we have acne. They attempt to address questions such as where it comes from and how to make it go away. It all leads to treatment plans. Which really do work and which are only snake oil?

For most people, treating acne has meant only one thing, medication. It’s the only main approach that medical science has really taken. Treatment by medications and drugs is the norm but is it possible to treat acne in a really natural way?

Most researchers will tell you that due to the underlying causes of acne, most natural approaches to treatment have a very low success rate. My research indicates that this is not true at all.

There are many different factors that are associated with acne outbreaks and it must be stated that before changing any type of treatment plan that you should discuss your plans with a physician or dermatologist. The root cause should be determined before starting any type of treatment but there has been great progress in natural medicine to treat your acne.

Finding out which natural products are most effective is really just the beginning. Nearly every natural approach to fighting acne involves a plan of action and your ability to follow through.

Oily skin, blocked pores, swelling, inflammation and pain are all signs and symptoms of an acne outbreak. These can be treated very effectively and safely with all natural products.

When fighting acne it is also important to consider your diet. Foods themselves may not be the main culprit but many food we eat can have certain side effects that can actually worsen your acne outbreak. Acne itself is usually caused by more than one factor.

Environment can also play an important role. Exposure to different elements in our surroundings as well as stress can have an effect on acne as well. By knowing how to deal with these factors in conjunction with an all herbal approach can have a dramatic effect on the outcome.

Over the last several years there has been a mind numbing number of books and products making all kinds of claim on how to cure your acne overnight. The facts remain. Acne cannot be cured. There are no products as of this writing that will make your acne disappear by morning.

It is not unusual though from the reports that I have received that many people are seeing results in as little as 72 hours. Let me make myself absolutely clear on this point though. They are not completely acne free within this time frame but dramatic results are being seen. Within a week or two these natural treatment plans when followed as directed are having as much if not more effects on successfully controlling acne as many of the high powered chemical treatments being prescribed every day.
