Natural Herbal Skin Care Product Treatment for Acne

    October 30th, 2008

Skin care is not something new as it has been in practice since ancient times, when herbal skin care was probably the only way to take care of skin. The skin care market changed forever when chemical based products became available which have taken over the skin care market from herbal products. Not only have many of the recipes been lost but herbal products are not as popular as they once were as science has gradually changed people’s attitudes towards skin care.

This transformation from herbal skin care to synthetic, can probably be attributed to two things; our laziness or just the fast pace of lives and the commercialization of skin care. The problem becomes worse when you realize the commercialism involved with the manufacture of herbal products by large companies that have to add preservatives to make them last longer which obviously reduces their effectiveness.

The good news is that in light of a growing interest and trend in all things natural, a small number of people have started producing these products again. There isn’t likely to be a revolution against the cheaper mass produced herbal skin care products in the future but just what are these products exactly.

Although one of the more common herbal products, aloe vera has other properties other than just helping sunburn; extracted fro the aloe plant it also hydrates skin and can be sued on cuts as well. Other household herbs like dandelion, chamomile, lime flowers and rosemary are good at cleansing but usually when they are in combination with other herbs.

To protect from infection and help the skin, the herbs lavender, marigold, thyme and fennel can be used, all of which have antiseptic properties. Tea plays an important part in herbal skin care and tea extracts are used for treatment of skin that has been damaged by UV radiation.

You may also be familiar with herbal oil extracts like tea tree, primrose and lavender which are the most popular and used for a variety of reasons. Certain skin conditions can also be helped with oils extracted from plants in herbal skin care preparations.

Although it is not something that is mentioned very often but herbal skin care products rarely have any adverse effects on the user and as you can produce them at home, they are very attractive to people trying to avoid anything synthetic. While herbal products will probably remain popular as there are so few reactions to them that there will be times when synthetic products will be necessary for certain skin disorders.

We all need to look after our skin by whatever means we can as it is the main barrier against disease and takes a great deal of punishment in the modern climate we all live in.

    Types of Neck Surgery Faucet

    September 13th, 2008
    by Lindelwa Maseko

For many people the first sign of advancing years is shown around the neck area with unwanted lines, creases and sagging skin. Liposuction can help as a more prolonged form of treatment but temporary measures like scarves and high necklines can help in the short term. Fortunately, liposuction is not the only treatment available today to hide neck wrinkles.

A relatively simple process used to remove neck creases and wrinkles is Botox. Cosmetic injections of botulinum toxins or Botox paralyse face and neck muscles to make them look younger. Botox also acts as a muscle relaxant for people that suffer with muscle contractions. This type of muscle paralysis is used to reduce all types of lines, creases, wrinkles and saggy skin associated with age, taking years off you.

Face lifts are also another popular way of removing saggy skin and wrinkles from the neck as they tighten the skin giving a much improved, youthful appearance. A facelift can improve many areas including excess fat or loose skin which causes loss of definition and “hanging” of the tissues in the neck area.

By using an acid in a procedure called a chemical peel, the top layer of skin is removed. Chemical peels have become a popular way of improving the skin of the neck and face without surgery. Now that we know about the damage caused by the sun, chemical peels have become more popular but they are also effective at improving the skin of individuals who suffer with acne and to help reduce the signs of aging. However, a chemical peel must not be considered as a substitute for a facelift but are used on almost every part of the body for both aesthetic and medical reasons.

A new revolutionary treatment called Hydroderm uses a marine collagen substitute and Vyo-Serum to reduce wrinkles and creases by tightening and moisturizing the skin. Vyo-Serum tightens the skin on contact because it is full of tri-dimensional proteins thereby giving an instant age reducing effect. It is an all-natural anti-aging and anti-wrinkle solution that can make you look years younger. If you want the Collagen delivered into your system without the need for injections then Hydroderm is the only treatment clinically proven to do this. Hydroderm has also been clinically proven to reduce wrinkles on your face and neck, as much as 46% in fewer than 21 days to make you look younger. Restoring your youthful looks is now a simple home based treatment with Hydroderm.

If you are considering a medical therapy for your facial and neck wrinkles and fine lines, then there are plenty of alternatives on the market. Carry out some research into the available treatments and how they will best suit you before you make any commitment on a particular type of cosmetic enhancements.

Natural Skin Care Organic Product Review

    July 16th, 2008
    by Lindelwa Maseko

Organic fruits and vegetables are the most popular things on organic skin care routines e.g. cucumber is very common in organic skin care routines. Turmeric, apple, papaya, ginger are others that find a wide use in organic skin care routines. These organic materials have a very refreshing and vitalizing effect on your skin. Almost every skin care book/guide has section on organic skin care (including the actions of various fruits and vegetables on skin). So choose the ones that are more suitable for your skin type and start experimenting with them until you finally select the ones that are most suitable for inclusion in your organic skin care routine. It’s important that you use fresh organic fruits/vegetables. Don’t try to utilize the rotten ones for your skin, their only place is the garbage bin.

Wheat germ is another ingredient in organic skin care procedures. It is rich in vitamin E and is known for its exfoliation as well as moisturizing properties. Wheat germ, in various combinations with other organic materials, is used to prepare facial masks for normal and dry skin types. Wheat germ oil is another way in which wheat germ is used for organic skin care.

‘Organic skin care’ uses combinations of various organic materials that complement each other and enhance each other’s effectiveness. Moreover, these combinations are also helpful in over-riding the harmful effects (if any) of various organic materials that form them.

Importance of caring for your skin

“Packaging is as important as the gift itself” – it’s something that most of the gift manufacturing companies follow very closely. The same holds good for you too. Your outer-self i.e. your skin is as important as your inner-self. A lot of people do realise the importance of skin care. Well, this is one reason why there are so many skin care products in the market and most of the skin care products seem to do pretty well. We generally tend to associate skin care to just good looks. However, there is more to it than just that. There are multiple benefits associated with a healthy and glowing skin.

Thus the importance of skin care cannot be ignored. However, skin care is not that difficult at all. There are a lot of skin care products available and you can choose the ones that suit you the best. There are various ways in which skin care products are classified and the knowledge about these classifications will help you understand them better and make a selection.

One classification is based on the ingredients e.g. herbal skin care products, synthetic skin care products, cosmetic skin care products etc.

    Serious skin care

‘Serious skin care’ also means knowing how to use your skin care products. Good practices include things like applying the moisturizers while the skin is damp, using upward strokes for better penetration of skin care products, removing the make up before going to bed, cleansing before moisturizing or applying make up, using the correct amount of skin care products, etc. Thus, increasing the effectiveness of your skin care products is another focus area of serious skin care.

So, seriously serious skin care is more about precautions and preventive measures (than treatment). Serious skin care is about being proactive as well as reactive. In fact, we can say that ‘serious skin care’ is about being proactive about the needs of your skin so that the need for being reactive is reduced to a minimum.
